“Rock Song” Dance

I’ve gotten a number of requests for the step sheet to the “rock song” that’s been played recently, so I thought I should post this before my inbox crashes! The dance is one we’ve done for a while, called “Zydeco Lady” and it’s being done to Nickelback’s “Burn It To The Ground”. Because of the added interest, I will likely teach this one again soon. However, if you would like to try it on your own first, I highly recommend you start by learning it to one of the following songs first as the Nickelback song is a bit faster and harder to follow when you’re first learning the dance than these.

  • “Zydeco Lady” by Eddy Raven
  • “Dumas Walker” by The Kentucky Headhunters
  • “Little Rock” by Reba McEntire
  • “Almost Jamaica” by The Bellamy Brothers

Please let me know if you have any questions! Please remember too that when you are ready to try it on the dance floor, stay to the outside of the floor to start out until you are certain that you can keep up! We don’t want you or anyone else getting hurt on the dance floor.
