Line Dancing is a combination of specific steps in varying ways. While this list won’t be all inclusive, it will cover about 90% of the moves we do. Try a new step (or more!) each week and see how much faster you pick up dances as you learn more and more individual steps.
The Basics:
- Grapevine (or “Vine”) – This is probably the most common dance step, so you’ll see it in most dances.
- Shuffle – This is the second most common step & often a staple for any dance with a 1&2 count
- Step Turn
- Rocking Chair
- Jazz Box (or “Box Step”)
- Charleston
- Kick Ball Change
- Weave
- Heel Jacks
